FAIR LAWN, NJ – Columbia Bank, through their Columbia Bank Foundation, has recently presented an $8,000 grant to the Morganville First Aid and Rescue Squad. The community grant was used to purchase an emergency generator to enhance the squad’s ability to operate during severe weather conditions and power outages. Founded in 2004, the Columbia Bank Foundation provides grants and contributions to organizations recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code in four major areas: affordable housing programs, community investment and economic development opportunities, financial literacy and educational opportunities, and health and human services. Since 1952, the all-volunteer Morganville First Aid and Rescue Squad has provided EMS and transport services to the residents of Marlboro, Morganville and surrounding areas. The Morganville First Aid and Rescue Squad responds to more than 1,300 emergency calls each year. With current assets of more than $4.6 billion, Columbia Bank operates 44 offices in ten counties statewide. |
