As another way to protect you and your business assets from online fraud, no matter where you bank online…Columbia Bank has recently introduced a new "Enhanced Login Security" service. We certainly want you to know about this new, free online service because it provides you and your business with yet another level of online security protection.
On your effective date, you will be prompted to register for our Enhanced Login Security service. Once registered, each time you use Columbia's Cash Management service, our special technology will first identify you as the "true owner" of your account(s), recognizing both your password and the particular computer you are using. If our new security feature does not recognize your computer - you've logged into Online Banking from a computer you have not registered - a passcode will automatically be sent to the email address that the Company Administrator set up in your profile.
Here's all you will need to do to add this free Enhanced Login Security service…
- After you login, you will see the Enhanced Login Security screen.
- Follow the instructions on the screen and retrieve a Security Code from your Business Banking registered email account.
- Enter that code and then "check" the box to add extra security protection to this computer.
- If more than one user at your company uses this computer, you will need to enroll each user. You can enroll as many computers and browsers as you wish.
- It is recommended that you only enroll non-public computers that will be used to access your Business Banking Account (i.e. the business owner's personal home computer).
- A "Success" screen will indicate that you have successfully completed the added security process.
As new and more sophisticated technologies become available, we will continue to upgrade our online security systems. Protecting your account(s) from unauthorized access is a priority for Columbia Bank!
