If you have been personally affected by the Coronavirus we may provide support to your banking relationship.
 

As part of the CARES package, you may be entitled to a one-time stimulus payment. According to the Treasury Department, payments will be made over the course of the next several weeks. To learn more about eligibility, payment and method of delivery you can visit the IRS site directly. The Get My Payment app can also provide information on your payment status and payment type.  

If your Columbia Bank account was used for direct deposit on your last tax return, you should receive your payment via direct deposit. You can check your account balance using our Online or Mobile Banking services.  

If you receive a paper check, you can use our Mobile Deposit feature to deposit your check quickly. Simply login to our mobile app, sign the back of your check and write “For Mobile Deposit.” Once you snap a picture of the check, we’ll process it.

Mortgage Deferral:

Columbia Bank has recently announced a Mortgage Deferral Program for mortgage customers experiencing hardship as a result of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Through the program, borrowers may be eligible to defer mortgage payments for primary residences for up to three months.

To request mortgage deferment, please apply onlineFor Primary Residences Only, applicants should be able to supply proof of your financial situation, e.g., unemployment application, loss of business, a notice of business closure, reduced hours, mandatory furloughs, etc. For dentists and physicians, nail and beauty salons, you’ll need to provide a copy of the professional license. For small business owners, an ownership certificate. Also required is a Year to Date paystub, W2 or 2019 income tax return, if filed.

 

Support For Your Business:

Columbia has developed several short term solutions that are designed to provide specialty financing assistance to commercial borrowers experiencing financial stress related to COVID-19. To discuss specialty financing, customers should contact their Relationship Manager or Lending Officer. 

We are currently no longer taking applications for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). For information on the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) please visit SBA.gov directly.

 

Deposit Support:

Customers who have been personally affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19) can call (800) 522-4167 option 4 to request support relating to their banking relationship.

Columbia Bank will be waiving early withdrawal penalties on Certificates of Deposit and will waive other deposit fees as appropriate for customers experiencing financial difficulty due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

Non-Profit Support:

The Columbia Bank Foundation recently announced a special program to support non-profit organizations affected by COVID-19. With an original pledge of $300,000 the Foundation nearly doubled its support to $600,000 due to the overwhelming need. A special carve out of $200,000 was designated to local hospitals in order to support the outstanding efforts of front-line health care workers. In total, nearly 60 non-profit organizations and 15 hospitals will receive funding.  For a full listing of recipients click here.
