Columbia Bank Donation Supports Wayne Animal Shelter

Banking for a Cause donation to Wayne Animal Shelter

FAIR LAWN, NJ – March 20, 2017 – As part of their “Banking for a Cause” promotion at their new Packanack branch office, Columbia Bank was able to donate a check in the amount of $2,790 to the Wayne Animal Shelter. The money will be used for operating expenses and for finding new, permanent homes for their homeless animals.

“We are extremely pleased to assist the Wayne Animal Shelter with their mission to help find new homes for their stray pets in residence,” said Thomas Kemly, Columbia Bank’s President and CEO. “During our Packanack branch grand opening celebration, we asked customers opening certain accounts to select a local charity from our list to which we would make a special donation. When all the votes were tallied, the animal shelter received the most customer votes.” As a result, some 15 local charitable organizations shared more than $5,700 in donations.
