FAIR LAWN, NJ – January 23, 2017 – Columbia Bank, through their Columbia Bank Foundation, recently presented a $30,000 grant to the Cathedral Kitchen. The grant was used to purchase a much-needed emergency generator for their meal program which provides over 1,600 meals daily to local shelters and halfway houses within the City of Camden.

Shown participating in a special presentation are (from left) Richard Decaprio, Columbia Bank’s Regional Vice President; Cathedral Kitchen Executive Chef and Culinary Instructor Jonathan Jernigan; Karen Talarico, Cathedral Kitchen’s Executive Director, and Delores McGuire, Columbia Bank’s Mount Laurel Financial Services Officer.

“We are extremely pleased to support the Cathedral Kitchen food bank with their charitable mission to help feed poor and homeless individuals within the greater Camden area,” said Thomas Kemly, Columbia Bank’s President and CEO. “As a true community bank, Team Columbia remains committed to helping local charities that make a difference in people’s lives. A least twice a year, a group of our local volunteers also help the Cathedral Kitchen staff serve hundreds of hot meals.”

Created to serve the needs of local communities, the Columbia Bank Foundation provides grants and contributions to organizations recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Columbia Bank Foundation actively seeks to provide support in four major areas: affordable housing programs, community investment and economic development opportunities, financial literacy and educational opportunities, and health and human services.
