[1] Overdraft services are not offered on our Forward Checking account. We may return or reject items when there are insufficient funds in your account or when there is not a sufficient balance due to a pending item or hold. In the event an item puts your account in an overdrawn status, you will not be assessed a fee by Columbia Bank, but will be asked to bring your account balance positive. You may be subject to a returned item charge by the merchant.

[2] Anyone can open this account. However, if opened by a minor between the ages of 13 and 17, provided the account is a joint account, this account can be opened with a parent or legal guardian as the secondary owner.

[3] The Forward Checking Account must be registered for Online Banking and be enrolled in electronic delivery of statements (eStatements). Online statements for the Columbia Bank Forward Checking Account are free. Paper statements are available for a charge of $2 (Statement Print Service Charge) which will be automatically deducted from your Columbia Bank Forward Checking Account per month.
