Housing Grant Program

We understand the fundamental importance of housing. Through our Housing Grant Program, we are dedicated to supporting initiatives that ensure access to affordable, sustainable, and safe housing options for all. Whether it’s temporary housing programs or opportunities for homeownership for low-to-moderate income individuals and communities, we are committed to making affordable housing available across the state. Applications for the Housing Grant Program will be accepted for $5,000 - $25,000.

Community Grant Program

Our Community Grant Program is a testament to our commitment to uplift individuals and communities within our footprint. We identify community-based non-profits, civic organizations, businesses, and charities, to provide funding that fuels their impactful service initiatives. Applications for the Community Grant Program will be accepted for $5,000 - $15,000.

Charitable contributions from the Foundation will be focused on supporting the following major areas:

  • Community Investment and Economic Development
  • Financial Literacy and Education
  • Health and Human Services
  • Food Insecurity
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • The Arts

How to Apply for a Grant

Before applying for a grant, please review the Columbia Bank Foundation guidelines for grant requests

  • The minimum grant amount request is $5,000
  • The Foundation Board reviews requests over $7,500 to $25,000 on a quarterly basis, for the Housing Grant Program
  • The Foundation Board reviews requests over $7,500 to $15,000 on a quarterly basis, for the Community Grant Program
  • The Foundation Board is scheduled to meet on a quarterly basis
  • The 2025 submission deadlines are April 15th, July 15th and October 15th
  • Now accepting applications for 2025. The first quarter application deadline is January 15th
  • The Board will review one grant proposal per organization during a twelve-month period
  • Only completed grant proposals submitted electronically will be considered
  • We understand that it’s not ideal for all applicants to submit electronically, so we will make every effort to accommodate you if assistance is requested
