(FAIR LAWN, NJ JUNE 3, 2021) — Columbia Bank is proud to announce Senior Vice President, Corporate Governance, Mayra Rinaldi, has been selected as a recipient of the coveted 40 Under 40: Emerging Community Bank Leader Award, from the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). The esteemed distinction recognizes influencers who represent the future of the industry, and community banking’s brightest, most promising young professionals, based on character, leadership, community involvement, and innovation.

Mayra Rinaldi, joined Columbia Bank in 2000. In her 20 years, she has had a progressive career working in many areas of the Bank from Retail, Risk Management and Executive Divisions. In her current role, Mrs. Rinaldi serves as the bank’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Governance, and oversees Corporate Governance, Community Development and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Upholding a community banking mindset, Mayra also manages “Team Columbia”, the Bank’s employee volunteer program, as well as provides support to the Columbia Bank Foundation’s charitable giving efforts. Team Columbia supports over 250 volunteer efforts throughout New Jersey annually, while the Columbia Bank Foundation remains one of the largest private giving foundations in the state.
Outside of her daily responsibilities, Mayra is a mentor for young professionals at the Bank, volunteers at various community events and is an active member of her local church. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Kean University and is a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking. She currently resides in Mahwah with her husband and their three children.
