Columbia Bank is pleased to announce that Alycia Banks has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Learning and Diversity Officer. Ms. Banks joined the Bank in September 2016 as the Training and Development Officer and has developed and enhanced many of the training programs at the Bank, including those promoting diversity and inclusion.
Before joining Columbia, Ms. Banks had over 15 years of training experience working for BNY Mellon Company as Vice President, Global Organization and Management Development, where she designed and executed learning and development programs and content for over 9,000 global leaders from the frontline to senior managers. She also had previous training experience with Pershing, LLC, Dow Jones & Co, and UBS Financial Services.

In her new position, Ms. Banks will promote diversity and inclusion throughout all business lines, strategically identify and develop training needs and act as a thought leader for the D&I initiatives.
Ms. Banks holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Culture and Economy from Bentley College and earned a Masters of Arts in Strategic Communications and Leadership from Seton Hall University. She volunteers with the United Way and the Urban League of Essex County. Last year, Ms. Banks was named to New Jersey Bankers’ recently established Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, which aims to provide thought leadership in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion for all New Jersey member banks. She has also been a guest speaker on these topics at various events.
