Two Columbia Bank Employees Receive Coveted NJ Bankers Rising Star Award

Columbia Bank is proud to announce employees, Roselyn Agar and Allison Winters, were selected as “Rising Star Award” recipients by NJ Bankers. The Rising Star Awards recognize the best and brightest in the banking business. The winners were celebrated at a cocktail reception, dinner and awards ceremony on November 4, 2021, at The Stone House at Stirling Ridge in Warren, New Jersey.

“I’m so delighted that two of our employees are recipients of a Rising Star Award. It is prized acknowledgement of their skills and leadership, which we at Team Columbia are fortunate to experience on a daily basis while working with Allison and Rose”, said Thomas J. Kemly, President and CEO of Columbia Financial and Columbia Bank.

Roselyn Agar is currently the Human Resources Director at Columbia Bank. Mrs. Agar joined the Bank in September 2016 tasked with building the workforce and employee brand and enhancing technologies and employee experience. She has over 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience specializing in workforce planning, organizational development, digital transformations and business partnerships. Her prior HR experiences were in Engineering, Hospitality, Management Consulting and Real Estate.

Mrs. Agar received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Drew University and a Master of Arts degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Montclair State University. She is currently completing ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Wharton. Mrs. Agar is a resident of Fair Lawn, NJ where she resides with her husband and two boys, and is an active member of the Fair Lawn Arts Council.

Ms. Winters, who has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from University of Delaware, is a former recipient of the New Jersey Bankers Warren Hill Award, and graduate of the New Jersey Bankers Emerging Financial Leaders Program. She currently serves as the New Jersey Representative for the American Bankers Association’s Emerging Leaders Council, a member of the New Jersey Bankers Emerging Financial Leaders Committee and a member of the Eva’s Village Annual Gala Committee. Most recently, Ms. Winters was appointed Chair of the Young Professionals Employee Resource Group at the Bank. Ms. Winters resides in Hoboken, New Jersey.
