Doug Cronk named CEO of First Jersey Title Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Columbia Bank

Upon the recent retirement of Scott Penque, Tom Kemly, President and CEO of Columbia Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Doug Cronk to CEO of First Jersey Title Services Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Columbia Bank.

Doug Cronk is founder and President of Omega Settlement Services, a leading title insurance and settlement services provider. With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Doug has facilitated and closed thousands of residential and commercial real estate purchase or refinance transactions.

Prior to founding Omega in 2003, Doug was a Vice President and Officer with Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., the oldest and largest partnership bank in the United States. During his tenure at Brown Brothers, he held increasingly senior roles in a variety of areas, including client relationship management and operations responsibilities across nine domestic and seven overseas locations.

Doug, in collaboration with the continued leadership of David Penque, will partner closely to ensure that First Jersey continues to maintain the high level of personal service and differentiation in the title market.

Doug is a graduate of Leadership New Jersey, a highly competitive fellowship program that educates, empowers and engages talented leaders to create systemic change around New Jersey’s most challenging issues. He continues to be active in various local community groups. In addition to many volunteer athletic coaching and educational positions, he has served in capacities as varied as President of the Board of Trustees of West Bergen Mental Healthcare, Member of the Ridgewood Zoning Board of Adjustment and as mentor with Volunteers in Protective Services (VIPS), a program of the Volunteer Center of Bergen County in which trained adults provide guidance to children who have suffered abuse or neglect.

Doug and his wife, Melinda, a local real estate agent, reside in Ridgewood, N.J. with their two children, Ethan and Audrey.

Columbia Bank and First Jersey thank Scott A. Penque for his dedication to the success of First Jersey Title and wish him well in his retirement after more than 38 years of service
