Columbia Bank is proud to announce it has been awarded a “Great Place to Work” certificate, a global benchmark for identifying and awarding an outstanding employee experience. Distinguished businesses are companies which outperformed the competition with unique and special benefits, robust training opportunities for professional development, and commitment to employee appreciation.
Each year, more than 10,000 companies across 60 countries apply to achieve Great Place To Work certification. To determine how well the company is performing, applicants are given anonymous surveys for employees to answer, with topics consisting of: company culture, diversity, equal opportunities, inclusion, leadership behavior, work-life balance, and more. Great Places to Work, then analyzes the confidential surveys, representing the opinions of 5.6 million employees across the United States, and selects the winners.
Key statistics in Columbia Bank surveyed employees noted:
- 85% of employees at Columbia Bank said the company is a great place to work, compared to 57% of employees at other businesses in the United States
- 94% of Columbia Bank employees said they felt welcomed when joining the company
- 96% of employees said they felt good about the ways the Columbia Bank contributes to the community
