Columbia Bank is proud to announce its support of ten New Jersey small businesses and non-profit organizations through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York’s Small Business Recovery Grant (SBRG) Program. Through this initiative, Columbia Bank facilitated $50,000 in grant funding to help local organizations manage rising operational costs and economic pressures.
Working closely with each applicant, Columbia Bank assisted in the preparation and submission of all grant materials to the FHLBNY SBRG Program. Through this initiative, the grants provide critical financial relief to qualified small businesses and non-profits facing challenges such as inflation, workforce shortages, supply chain delays, and elevated energy expenses.
“Our small business and non-profit partners remain essential to the economic strength and wellbeing of the communities we serve,” said Thomas J. Kemly, President and CEO of Columbia Bank. “We are honored to support their missions and help ease some of the financial strain they continue to face. Participating in the Federal Home Loan Bank’s Small Business Recovery Grant Program allows us to deliver meaningful assistance where it’s needed most.”
The ten organizations that received funding provide a wide range of community services, including historical preservation, food insecurity, youth services, financial counseling, and small business development. This year’s grant recipients include Camden County Historical Society, CareSparc Community Connections, Center for Food Action, HS&H Outreach Services, Living on Another Frequency LLC, Saint Joseph's Carpenter Society, St James Social Service Corporation, The HUUB Inc., Tito Tax, and Visions and Pathways.
